STEP 1 – RECOGNITION OF GOOD PRACTICES

Considering that the partners come from totally different experiences and contexts and they usually work with partially different targets, as a first activity it was considered useful to share the good practices already adopted internally to prevent sports abandonment:

Swimming

Since 2009, the association worked on the athlete-coach relationship and the ability to propose a measured commitment in accordance with the needs expressed by the children.

Basketball

CBG has focused on a development project of “Emotional Coaching”, born in 2019, aimed at supporting and accompanying the emotional development of the athlete.

The association hypothesizes the development of some prevention elements already partly used internally: interventions of sport psychologists; strengthening the link between “sport at school” and “sport outside school”.

In its document SDCS doesnt’ present best practise, but it gives guides line to enrich partner proposals and make unique approach for sport dropout prevention.
